You will probably have read in the local press that our County Councillors for the Bowerdean, Totteridge & Micklefield areas, Julia Wassell and Chaudhary Ditta, have both defected to the Liberal Democrats. They also represent Bowerdean at District Council level.


Spotlight East Wycombe likes to keep out of party politics. Regardless of their party affiliations both Cllr Wassell and Cllr Ditta have been great supporters of Spotlight East Wycombe and many other local ventures. It is our view that they have made this decision in order to be better equipped to continue to represent local residents effectively. We wish them well and the voting public will get to have their say at the next local elections. Maybe it will increase the turnout - which can't be a bad thing!
