Hi,
browsing through your pages first of all congratulations on the layout looks really good -sorry Zoe I'm not trying to copy you ..
It is easy to familiarise yourself in nanoseconds with the most important bits.
Just a quickie on the "what's on" page, at a first glance it seems rather focussing on either toddlers or churches. I'm new to this place is there anything else going on in Micklefield and where can you get info?
Thanks

Oh, I almost forgot - how about having a recipe page on here as well (or instead of poetry which doesn't seem to be too popular?)

chips
wash potatoes do NOT peel cut in to jumbo chip size portions
put in to boiling water... this will cool the water.... leave on heat till it re-boils ..........about 4mins for a family of 4
remove from heat and strain
leave to cool
finely chop fresh garlic cloves ...1 is usually enough but depends on clove size and searving size and your taste!
put a little olive oil in a roasting tin add chips drizzle more oil over chips
sprinkle with the chopped garlic a little sea salt and finely chopped fresh rosemary
we like rosemary best or thyme but again thats down to your own taste
dried pkt herbs just aren't the same .......but if needs must.... then go for it!
place in the centre of pre heated oven 180 C
AFTER 15 mins remove baste and return to oven for further 10 mins APPROX.
searve
A LOT CHEAPER THAN THE CHIP SHOP AND MUCH BETTER TOO!

ENJOY

Just come across our community web site, think your ideas are great and that the enthusiasm of a few might greatly affect a majority. Was wondering how you could get more residents of Micklefield aware of the web site and therefore more interested in the development and cleaning up of Micklefield. Havent lived here very long (18 months !) but most people i see or pass in the street are friendly and pleasant, How about in the spring maybe having a"best garden" competition or something similar. There is a sense of community spirit here and it should be capitalised on and encouraged to grow. Will have a think and return in a few days if the grey matter comes up with any more thoughts.

Good luck all.

This new magazine sounds exciting and on the topic of pages, have you thought of a childrens page to make the mag readble by the kids to. A colouring page or a place for short stories etc.... just a thought?
