Increasingly during the last 10 years I have tried to think more about the environment and have recently started started to study the subject. Part of my reason is to try to get the message across so I am going to start a thread on here to see what people can do . Today I am going to suggets 3 things and see if there is any ideas from others Today I suggest the following 1. The Beech Trees of Kingswood may struggle during the next century:Because of the imposing threat of Global Warming (expect to see average temperatures to rise by 2 degrees during the next 50 years ) the fragile beech tres of Kingswood may struggle- as they did during the 1976 drought. . Beech tress have a smaller root structure . Can we do any to save the wood. Glyn Galbraith i note in the Spotlight magazine is lokking for suggestions for trees to be planted on Totteridg Common. Any suggestions ? I would go for natives such as silver birch and perhaps the odd oak tree. for compostable biobags and packaging see www.geocities.com/justinnailard or see http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=161271579 | ||
